ITOX & Systium Technologies Combine to Introduce “Mini” Series 12V Platform with ITOX Mini-ITX Motherboard

New Long-Life System Solution Designed for Demanding Embedded Computing, Industrial & Medical Applications

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – October 15, 2009 – ITOX®, a leading provider of embedded x86 products and the United States affiliate of DFI-ACP, has joined with Systium® Technologies, a supplier of certified and long-life engineered computing platforms, to introduce the Model 132 “mini” series 12 Volt system utilizing the ITOX NP101-D16C Mini-ITX motherboard. The new long-life, computing solution is available with CSA-UL, FCC-CE certifications and designed to fulfill even the most demanding embedded computing, industrial & medical applications.

“Over the past 13 years, Systium has consistently tested and recommended our motherboards for use in their leading-edge computing solutions, which are currently meeting a wide range of technological applications throughout the world,” offers Robert Liao, ITOX vice president sales & engineering. “This joint effort results from our ongoing ability to provide partners like Systium with long-life, revision-controlled motherboards that contain the highest-quality components.”

“Our customers require certified, leading-edge computing systems that can be manufactured over an extended period of time, with exceptional reliability in the field,” says Jim Graham, director of sales and marketing at Systium. “ITOX is one of the first manufacturers to deliver a quality, long-life availability Mini-ITX system board. The Model 132 was created specifically to take advantage of the small size and exceptional processing power of the ITOX NP101-D16C Mini-ITX motherboard.”

The Systium Model 132 “mini” series system platform is designed for cost-sensitive applied computing and x86 embedded systems applications requiring high quality, long-life modular computing solutions. This includes wide ranging applications within the medical electronics, industrial control, security & surveillance, telecommunications, ATM/POS, digital signage, gaming and kiosk systems fields.

Key to its design is the ITOX NP101-D16C Mini-ITX motherboard, which utilizes the 45nm 1.6GHz Intel® Atom™ N270 processor with Intel® 945GSE Express chipset and ICH7M I/O controller hub.  Exhibiting a total system thermal design power (TDP) of less than 15 Watts, this value-optimized platform provides higher performance-per-watt than previous mobile platforms. A single energy-saving 12VDC power input further reduces overall system configuration and operating costs.

Other significant NP101-D16C features include an 18-bit LVDS display interface, VGA graphics interface, an SDVO connector for optional DVI or 24-bit LVDS display interfaces as well as one 240-pin DDR2 DIMM socket supporting up to 2GB of economical DDR2 400 or 533 MHz memory.

In addition, to ensure trouble-free integration and ease-of-use, the Model 132 is designed with integrated mounting tabs, an easy access flip-up cover, standard I/O shield and Systium’s Thermistor based Fan Control Module for quiet cooling. It is also available with or without CSA-UL, FCC-CE Certifications.

Additional Systium Model 132 Features:

  • Power Supply: External, AC Adapter, 12VDC@60W
  • Drives Internal: 1 – 2.5”
  • Cooling: 1 – 40mm Fan
  • Control Panel: Power Rocker Switch
  • Indicators:  Power LED
  • Weight:  2 lbs.
  • Unit Dimensions:  2.35”(H) x 7.5”(W) x 7.15”(D)
